Release Notes TransLution Version 1.95 – Release Date 14 July 2006

Release Summary
The focus of this release was around enhancing the sales order processing functions and improving other areas of general usability. Significant improvements were made to the sales order processing screens and new functions were added to allow pick face replenishment and explosion of boxes or various pack sizes to single units. Also, some minor bug fixes were done and these are described at the end of the document.


Scanning Enhancements
A confirm if finished pop up has been added. It was found that users finished scanning jobs by accident.

An audit trail has been added to measure RF scanner performance. When scanned data is received through the RF web service, an audit record is created. A second record is created when the response is sent to the scanner.

Sales Order Processing
If manual picking is being done and the user has been instructed to pick a box of 5 items, the checking logic allows dynamic substitution and will accept either 5 eaches or a single box of 5 as a valid item.

The multi pick slip screen now shows the sales order status and requested ship date as two additional columns. When a pick slip (or pick slips) are created on the multi pick slip screen, the pick slip numbers are shown. Fully completed and updated orders disappear off this screen after the screen is refreshed or re-opened.

The pick slip processing and retrieve sales order screen now show the numbers of the related pick slips or sales orders for easy reference. The pick slip processing screen also allows pick slips to be filtered by scanner user. The retrieve sales order screen shows sales order number followed by customer number instead of the other way around as before. This makes it easier to find order numbers on the list box.

Scanner picks are sequenced by the X,Y,Z co-ordinates of locations. If proper pick sequencing is required then these co-ordinates have to be configured.

There is a separate screen with a single button which can be used to retrieve both sales order header and line details. It will still be possible to carry on doing other TransLution transactions.

If sales orders require lots and a single line has multiple lots linked to it in Syspro, each of these is turned into a separate sales order line in TransLution.

Discrete Stock Adjustment
The Discrete Stock adjustment screen has been enhanced so that the product code (stock code) is shown before the product description. The screen now also not only shows stock in a location but shows reserved stock too. This is stock that has been allocated to a sales order or a transfer job but not yet scanned to be picked or moved.

Replenishment Form
A new form has been created that allows users to create directed transfer jobs from within TransLution. The form allows items in locations mapped to a certain function area be moved to locations mapped to another function area.

The screen takes into account quantities booked against other jobs (both transfers and picking). Multiple lines can be added to a single job and the facility exists to remove lines from a job as well.


ERP Commodity
Each ERP commodity has a REPLENISHMENT_LEVEL option added to it. The system defaults this to 100 rather than 0 or null on the initial install.

Sales Orders
Back Order Processing will also be fully handled. This means that if a sales order has been picked and checked and update to Syspro with backorder quantities in certain lines, when Syspro release the backorder and the status goes back to status 4 then TransLution will be able to download the order a second time and process the back order quantities.

Bug Fixes
Sales Order Retrieval – Sales orders with no lines can be retrieved and managed.

Scanner – Problem with validating minimum and maximum quantity has been corrected.

ERP Update – An update for a picked quantity of zero now doesn’t give an error message.

ERP Update – Errors coming back from Syspro are now properly displayed

ERP Update – the Picked Order table for Syspro integration is only updated after the whole order has been successfully updated to Syspro.

Checking – Checked Quantity greater than config position of Picked error has been corrected and substitution works correctly.

Configuration Settings – Clearing of system settings when logging on and off has been fixed.
