Release Notes TransLution Version 3.22 – Release Date 10 April 2014

Release Summary

There were a number of new features in this release. We have started building the forms for TransLution Quality Manager configuration. We also introduced a new Batch scanning ability to allow us to scan data without any links to the TransLution server and then upload the data to the database. The final new feature was the ability to automatically transpose scanned data for a given scanner prompt sequence into a custom database table without needing to do any stored procedure logic. There were also a number of small usability enhancements.

Transposing Data

It is now possible to select a custom table and map scanner prompts to columns in this table to allow successive scans to be logged to  a single database row.

Batch Scanning

This feature uses a setup logic very similar to the transposing logic above. A scanner prompt sequence is defined and the prompts are mapped to columns in a custom table. TransLution logs the scanned data into an XML file matching the scanner prompt sequence structure and when the scanner is docked, the scanned data is moved to the custom table.

Quality Manager

The two forms that have been released are to allow Test Method Groups and Expected Results to be defined. Subsequent releases of TransLution will allow the test results to be captured.
