The general use of a validation is to return an error and require the operator to enter valid data. There are however times when the data you expect the operator to scan is more of a suggestion or a recommendation and while you want to warn them that they entered data that was not expected you may want to let them accept that data and continue. A good example would be a Putaway process. TransLution may be used to recommend a Putaway location but if the bin is full the client has required that the operator may select another bin for putaway. This would be a good time to use the Allow Confirmation option. Another example would be that generally when receiving goods, they are first stored in a Receiving Bin. Some goods may however be allowed directly into the warehouse. The confirmation option delivers this flexibility.

Note that the Allow Confirmation as shown below is supported by both Standard and Custom validations.

Selecting to Allow Confirmation

When this option is selected, the user will see the error message like they always do BUT they will also see the confirmation text and be presented with a Yes and a No button to continue. The text 'This is not a valid Syspro Warehouse' is the standard error for this validation. 'Are you sure this is correct?' was added as the confirmation text.

Standard Validation error with confirm

This is a very flexible feature. It works with standard validations and standard messages as well as standard validations with custom messages as shown below. It also works with custom validations.
