The main requirement here is to define the Syspro users that TransLution will be using and to give them the appropriate business object access rights.

These setups should be done by a Syspro administrator.

While these users are being set up, it is a good idea to allow for a username and password that has access rights to the Syspro front end as well. It is useful, particularly during the testing phase for TransLution implementers to be able to log onto Syspro to look at the Syspro transaction data to validate that the data was passed through to Syspro correctly.

The steps to follow are:

In Syspro from the main menu, choose the options Setup > Security > Operators as shown below.

The screen shown below will appear

Select Edit > Add (or Ctrl A or Click on the Blank sheet) to add a new user

Type in the operator name and add the details as shown below. TransLution requires a user per functional area group. In our examples below, we use TL_INV, TL_SOR, TL_POR, TL_WIP but any user names can be setup and of course the passwords must be configure per customer site to suit their security requirements.

The details of the SQL Server Authentication should be known to the Syspro administrator. Notice that there is a Security tab and an E.net tab. On the security tab ensure that the user is not locked out and allow unlimited login attempts. If there is a password expiry policy it is a good idea to set the e.net user password to never expire. If this is not done there is a risk of TransLution posts to Syspro failing due to failed logons.

There is also an E.net tab which should be set up as follows - The user must be set up as a named e.net user.

The next step is to set up these new Syspro users with e.net access rights. From the main menu, select Setup > System Setup to view the form below.

Select the Configure e.net License tab to view the form below

Select to Configure e.net licenses (this is not the default option) and click on Next

Click on Business objects

The form below appears

Ensure that at least the following are set up:

TL_SOR must have access to Sales Order Primary Posting

TL_INV must have access to at least Inventory Primary Posting and if required Inventory Stock Take and Inventory Goods In Transit

TL_WIP must have access to at least WIP Shop Floor Data Collection and WIP Primary Posting

TL_POR must have access to at least Purchase Orders Primary posting

If there are any other business objects used, the TL_OTH user must be used.

Close this form when you are finished and you will see the form below

Click on Next to see the form below

Click on Finish and then 'Save and Exit' on the final form. When prompted if you wanted to exit and restart Syspro, click Yes.

Any changes made to Business Object Users or access rights will require the TransLution ERP service to be re-started.
