This covers how validations are added to steps.

 


If you click on a step with validation, the RHS of the step form will look like this. If there is no validation defined for that step, the grid will be blank.

There are multiple options available:

 

Standard Validations

 

Custom Validations

 

Confirmation on Validations - The general use of a validation is to return an error and require the operator to enter valid data. There are however times when the data you expect the operator to scan is more of a suggestion or a recommendation and while you want to warn them that they entered data that was not expected you may want to let them accept that data and continue. The confirmation option does that.
