Adding Users
EazySetup - User Maintenance Adding Users
When the Add New User button is clicked the second tab is cleared of all data like this and the data for the new user can now be added.
Add New User
At a minimum, Users need a Login Name, First name and a Password. All other fields are optional.
Force Password Change: When a user logs on for the first time, they will be forced to enter a new password if this is set to true.
Allow Password Change: This allows users to change their own passwords. If passwords are printed and scanned this should not be set.
Site Admin: This user is a site admin user. Only other site admins can create a new site admin.
Super User: A Super User has the ability to define the look and feel of every grid overlay function area by using layouts. They can control the font size, Line colour, filtering and grouping on a per Function area basis.
Allow Multiple Logon: This is a specific case which should be used sparingly. Users with this option set are allowed to log onto TransLution more than once. This could be used for example when a user runs some functions on a scanner and some on a PC. If the devices are concurrent remember that each logon consumes a licence so one user could be using multiple licences.
Auto Logoff: This option should be used for most users. What this means is that if a user logs onto a device and they are already logged onto another device, they will be automatically logged off that device. If this is not set then the user will be warned that they are logged on eolsewhere and not allowed to log on.
These two options are mutually exclusive - a user can either be allowed to log on multiple times or be auto logged off. Both options cannot be selected and TransLution does not allow this to happen. More details can be found here.
If there are additional columns added to the User table in the common database then the lower grid will have additional columns as shown below. The additional fields are not validated by TransLution but can be used for any custom logic or reporting purposes.
