Upgrades from versions earlier than TransLution V4.3 should be approached carefully. In Version 4 of TransLution steps were introduced to replace prompt. This changed how functions were processed in TransLution.

Android devices do not support functions build using prompts prior to the release fo V4.3 Assuming that functions built prior to V4.3 use Windows scanners, any system with functions built using prompts can not be upgraded to a TransLution Version greater than V6.3

If you are not sure whether your implmentation is using prompt or step functions, it is critical to run the SQL query in the following section. The query returns a result set looking something like this:

Counting Function Types

If your count for Prompt Functions and Prompt as Step Functions are both zero, then an upgrade can be done.

If either of these counts is not zero please speak to your TransLution support representative before attempting an upgrade. The first step in this case will be to ensure that the active Prompt functions are actually in use in order to determine the upgrade effort required.
