There is more than one way to communicate with Syspro using TransLution but regardless of the option chosen, there are some initial requirements to set up both TransLution and Syspro for communication.

The first step is the requirement to Install the WCF ERP service. The TransLution WCF ERP Service can communicate to Syspro using either Syspro WCF the Encore DLL. If using the Encore DLL then the service or must be installed on the same computer as where Syspro is running. If WCF is being used then this is not required and generally the ERP WCF Service is installed on the TransLution server.

Configuring the WCF ERP service to work with Syspro is also done in EazySetup and is covered in the EazySetup help.

At this point, the details of the type of communication that are required need to be considered and the appropriate decision made. The main options available are Live Posting and Buffered Posting as well as the option to post directly or post from a table. All of these options are covered in the section - What Type of Syspro Communication do I use?

Once that decision is made the details of the communication and the data to be passed to Syspro can be set up.

In all cases, when posting data to Syspro, TransLution logs the results of the post in the Business Object Event table. Data is logged to that table when a post is done to Syspro and then update with the response from Syspro once it is received. This means that if there is a row in the table with no response logged that the call was made to Syspro but no response was received. This would then require troubleshooting to see if the call ever reached Syspro or not.
