This step kind is used to execute VBP code. An important part of this step is the ability to execute the VBP code on the server meaning that steps on Scanners running EazyScan can now execute VBP to perform a range of functions.

VBP Execute Step Definition

The fields are described below:

Name - reference used when building the step and defining the step sequence. For example 'RunVBP'

Step Description - This is a more detailed description of the step if required.

Next Step - This is where to go after the VBP has executed

Source Code - This is the name of the VBP code to execute. VBP code is defined on the VBP Source Code Maintenance form. The VBP is by default passed the JobID and Scanner Name but as will other step types, any step can be mapped to the VBP code.

Execute VBP on Server - This is the option that will execute the VBP code not on the calling device but on the server. This is what allows a VBP step to be run on any devices even Windows scanners or Android devices. If the step will be executed on any Device other than a PC running TransLution EazyTouch then the 'Execute VBP on Server' option must be selected.

The Map button allows any of the other steps in the function to be mapped to parameters in the VB Code.
