Grid Functions
This section of the on line help covers the TransLution grids. Grid overlays are supported on EazyTouch running on windows PCs and on Android devices.
Overlays require a larger screen size than for example step functions and are most commonly used on PCs or tablets rather than phones or scanners. Grid overlays are maintained on the Grid Function Area form which is accessed via the Function Area Maintenance Menu.
Grid Function Area Maintenance
Begin by selecting the overlay type to maintain:
Selecting a Grid Type
The details of how to define each grid type are covered here for TL Selector grids and here for General Grids. In addtion, we explain how to add buttons to grids to execute functions.
In order to add a new function, click on the + symbol at the bottom of the form as shown below. In order to edit the name of an existing function, select the function detail tab.
Create or maintain a function
Be sure to have selected the correct grid type before adding a new function.
The function details are the same for both grid types and is shown below.
Grid Function Details
The function name and description work exactly the same as all other TransLution functions as does the 'ready' indicator. There are two different options though:
Refresh Interval It is possible to define grids to auto refresh - the rate is defined in Minutes and the fastest refresh rate is 1 minute. A value of zere means a grid will not auto refresh.
Full Screen Overlay This applies to Windows only. Android grids use the whole screen by default but Windows grids by default have a numeric keypad and an operator menu on the RHS of the screen. Setting this flag hides that panel.
The documentation fields are standard for all functions.
