Upgrading from TransLution Version 7.2 to Version 7.5 is largely a standard upgrade. Remember, there is no longer a need to upgrade Android devices manually. Check on the  Background processing service if you are using this service.

Background Processing

The background processing service setup now allows you to map threads to specific companies rtaher than have the service run against all companies as before. The upgrade process will automatically enable the service where it was confiugured previously to run against all companies, it is recommended to remove the mapping against the test company if the processing isn't required, this will save the service running against the test company and not finding any functions to execute.


User Interface Changes

There are some changes for implementers between V7.2 and V7.3. Only the new step maintenance form is available with V7.3. Also we have improved the navigation for building overlays to prevent users from having to move between forms in a disjointed fashion. There is a specific form to build grid and chart overlays and Quality Manager overlays are now built from the Quality Manager menu. Finally, the overlays that require no configuration - Password reset, Print Manager etc, are now simply enabled or disabled and given a name. There is no longer a need to define them on the V6 layout form as before.
